who we are

1206-08 Esplanade was a plantation style home after the civil war. Prior to hurricane Katrina, it was an illegal, functioning brothel for many decades.

We were looking for a vacation home for our nephew Sal Khan, founder of khanacademy.org who was born and raised in New Orleans, like our 3 children. After we found this grand old house for Sal, he changed his mind, but in love with the beauty, architecture and location of this gorgeous building, we decided to make it into a guest house for all to enjoy.
